2. God’s Promise of Seedtime and Harvest and Sparing of the Earth for mankind

Genesis 8:20-22 -

20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

22 “While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”

This beautiful promise, God spoke to Himself, but as all God’s promises are concrete and true we see evidence of this one today. I found this Promise particularly wonderful because, these are things that fall upon all man regardless of whether they acknowledge God or not. His love is as such, that it has be laid and poured out throughout the earth.

For the sake of you and I, God promise never to curse the earth as He has done before, even though from birth our hearts are wicked and evil. What is God telling us here. I believe this has allot more to do with God’ heart towards us.
In genesis 3:21 which reads :

Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
God’s love towards us is without description. Right after we disobeyed, not only did He promise to that He would overcome the enemy which deceives us, but more so He also clothed us before He sent us out of the garden.

This promise, God made for us. That He would not curse the earth again has He done before, it’s a promise of security from such an event taking place again. It’s also a Promise that also in it gives direction as to why God moved this promise and that is found in “for man’s sake”, Which can be translated to “for mankind”. We witness God’s Mercy here because He both merciful towards Adam and Eve and merciful towards Noah and those who follow

It also reveals to us some of our nature, because God says He will not curse the earth as He had done because of the wickedness of our hearts. God also goes on to speak that He will no longer “destroy every living thing”, Since which God has never done such a thing again, Though throughout the old testament God has cursed small places and locations as such to show how displeased He was with certain behaviour.
Mankind by it’s very nature having been defiled by sin, are deserving to be cursed. God out of the abundance of His love, has turned a Blessing towards mankind.

God ultimately says, “Even though you are wicked from childhood, I will supply your need”

God just flooded the earth because of the wickedness of our hearts, Genesis 6:5 reads

“5 Then the LORD[a] saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. “
The first time God makes note of the Sinfulness of mankind’s nature in Genesis 6:5, it’s flooded by death and destruction, But the second time God makes this observation it is followed by His Grace and Mercy.

So there is a key lesson here, Because God excuse Noah from this sinful nature, so why doesn’t God cause death and destruction the second time. Prior to the flood, mankind was wicked in everything and did not acknowledge God, Except Noah. So Noah was saved and death and destruction fell upon the rest.

The second time God makes note of the sinfulness of man, it is after Noah made an offering to The Lord God. First thing Noah did was make an offering to God and it was “soothing” to God, another word to be used could be pleasant.
Noah believed in God and wanted to serve Him, He was grateful for what God had done for him and his family.

Noah gave God a sacrifice, and God was pleased with him, because of Christ ( Because we can not separate God’s Promise from Jesus Christ ). While we were deserving judgement and wrath, God gave us a promise and a sign.

God promises that one season will follow the last until the end of days, and day will be followed by night until the end of days.
It’s a beautiful promise and it’s reassurance of God’s order within the world, Shall remain until the end of days. If this promise wasn’t in place, then imagine if our world was unpredictable it would be in the sense of seasons, If we had 3 winters. How difficult life would be, If it wasn’t for God’s Order being established we wouldn’t have the ability to survive.

Thanks giving, the holiday has its origins here, because God promised both Seed time and Harvest. Noah gave thanks to God and it’s result was this Promise of God.
Genesis 8:22 –

22 “While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”

It’s a promise we often take for granted, especially in countries where resources are easily accessible, but if it hadn’t been for God establishing this promise and covenant with us, we would not be able to sustain life. God is Our One and Only Provider.

God's FIrst Promise

1. Promise of Enmity and Triumph

Genesis 3:15 -

15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

This is the very first promise of God, and what an amazing Promise it is. It is a foretelling of the Messiah to come, From the Fall of Man, God at the very beginning had a plan for our Redemption and that was Jesus Christ. This at first is quite a confusing scripture, because of the terms used. Enmity can be exchanged for hatred or hostility. God is saying He shall put a hatred between the seed of the serpent and the woman. It is a very deep and beautiful scripture to unpack. What we have here straight after man has rebelled against God, God is unpacking things to come in the future and speaking of the Path to Salvation, That is Christ Jesus.

So it’s said first, there is a hatred between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman, Now the seed of the serpent is the seed of rebellion, throughout the entire Bible, there are those who are rebellious to God. They are the “seed” or “children” of the serpent, or the enemy or satan. So the “Seed” of the Woman, who will ultimately be victorious over the serpents seed, is Jesus Christ, It is also a hint as to the Birth of Jesus Christ, as God said “her Seed” and made no mention of man’s involvement in reference to this Child.
So from the very beginning we have a Division. This is the division between, what is right with God and what is wrong before God. The seed of the enemy and the seed of the Messiah, It is said as seed and not in the pural sense, meaning singular paths. Which does give us insight as to how God views things to a certain extent, because as God has said -

James 2:8-13 says –

8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.”Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

There is only one who was able to walk Righteously and so Triumph over the enemy that being Jesus Christ. All else fell short of God’s Standard and Sinned. The Seed God speaks of, is the same Seed God speaks of to Abraham and that is Jesus Christ and His Church.

“He shall bruise your head”

I believe is speaking to a fatal blow, The enemy tried from the Birth of Christ to try to kill Him, but was unable to as Jesus Christ reigns now and forever more in Glory being above all things.
A good scripture that confirms this –

Revelation 11:15 -

"The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign for ever and ever"

“and you shall bruise His heel”

I believe this is referring to some of the Family of God falling away, as sadly happens in the church to do, as the enemy is constantly trying to bring the Children of God to stray from His Path.

So we have a Promise both about the Jesus Christ’s Coming and about the Falling away, We also have indications as to the nature God Willed between the two, Hatred. We should have a Hatred for Sin.

Jesus Christ commanded us to be “Perfect” ( Matthew 5:48 ) though we cannot achieve this in ourselves ( Romans 3:23 ), through Him we are made as perfect ( Colossians 1:28 ), that we in Him no longer fall short of Righteousness because we walk in His Righteousness ( Colossians 1:22 ) as the Seed and Family of God ( John 1:12 ).

Turn the Light on and Search!

Turn the Light on and Search!

Luke 8:8-10 reads –

8 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ 10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

God is very thorough in His Ways, He placed us ( Believers ) in a very Blessed position. I believe it that it’s important for us to walk in that position God has called us to. In the parables in Luke 15, This is the middle one, Jesus Christ is speaking and explaining about how the Lost are important to God, and Jesus Christ.

I know times in my life, I have been in a state of being lost. Jesus Christ found me through a fellow believer and a sister. I knew God existed but I was a state mentally I didn’t know where to start looking for Him. Mostly I was fearful because I understood enough to know I was a sinner but knew nothing of God’s redemption in Jesus Christ.

A few years ago, I use to speak to many people about God, not knowing God. I use to speak about the government and how they were deceitful in there ways, all the while I was doing the exact same thing. I would speak great lengthy theories to people, to my class mates. So much so the teacher would actually allow me to speak to the whole class for an hour or so, How great that would have been if I had KNOWN God, but The words I was speaking were Death, I pray for each one of those people individually because I now realise the error of my ways but at the time,

Proverbs 15:4 says –

4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

I was speaking so much but I was giving absolutely no hope. I was allow the enemy to use me and distract people from the BIGGEST question.

Who is Jesus Christ ?

I believe this solely is the biggest question we as believers need to bring towards people. It is the biggest defining point. Without Jesus Christ there is no salvation. There is no Genesis 1 or no Revelations 22.

John 1:1-5 –

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

The reason why I’m speaking about this is simple. In the parable in Luke 15:8-10, Jesus Christ Says “if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp”

We are seeking what is Lost, but if we ourselves do not have that Light, we will be searching in the Dark. This is why we seek God before seeking what is Lost. We are that Lamp, Jesus Christ was the first and the brightest Lamp of all, We all follow Him because His Light, The Light of Life shone into our lives and He brought us out of darkness. Now we through Him are Lamps in this world, Doing as He done, searching out the lost. “Carefully”.

John 8:12 –

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” ( A Promise from Jesus Christ )

And again in John 9:5 –

5As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

We cannot search without the Light in our lives. Otherwise even if we were to find people in the dark, by feeling around in the dark. What use are we to them ? if we can’t bring them out of that darkness.

We are useless, we simply move a person from one form of darkness to another. But there is always Hope when we are looking to the word of God, for God said in Matthew 5:14-16 -

14
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

By accepting Christ into our lives and following Him and leaving behind our darkness ( that is repenting of our sin ). We become the Light of the World because of Christ in us. So when we encounter the Lost we have a True message of Hope and a true reason to seek after them, and a True salvation to Preach and a Light to shine into the darkness.

As we as believers move forward following Christ, it’s important for us to always seek after God, as we do such our passion and desires change from what we desire to what God desires, we continually transformed from the inside-out to a likeness to Christ ( Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 3:18 ). So when we walk in and out of situations our character is ever changing for the better as we hold onto Jesus Christ ( Romans 5:1-5 ). As this happens we are of better service to those around us, because Jesus Christ was the highest servant of all and served ALL in perfection.

I wrote this message as God emphasized to me the importance of having the Light always present when searching. As we seek God daily, As we walk as God’s Light in the World, Let us do so knowing that we have a True Hope, and True Gospel and a True Savior that is Jesus Christ. I hope this encourages you as you walk forward a Light in the World!

Love You Dearly,
May God Truly Bless You!

CHECKY OUT THE SIDE >>>>

There is another page!! haha, Just learn't I am able to do that, so check it out, i'm going to be posting the Promises of God, from Genesis to Revelations, it's going to be very slowly errupting because unpacking God's Promises, The scripture that inspired me to do so is here -

20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

The Him being mentioned is Jesus Christ, so believers in Jesus Christ have access to ALL The Promises of God. It's beautiful to think that in Him we have so much, and as we look through the Promises I pray it encourages you in your relationship with Him and walking out for Him.

May God Truly Bless You,
Chris

Fruits of the Spirit - Servant Heart ( Part 1 )

Firstly, I have been very busy lately, while I have been writing messages, I haven’t had a chance to upload any due to some computer issues, hopefully from now on I can do so more consistently. Hope you are all well and doing wonderfully by God’s Grace.

I Thank God for this message, it’s one that has been carrying me and helping me in servant-hood, and drawing me deeper into relation with Our Eternal God.

So this is me really just sharing my thoughts on Galatians 5:22, and how it relates to us as servants. It’s going to be broken into a few parts to avoid throwing out to much at once.

I call this Fruits of the Spirit – A Servant Heart, because as I look more and more into the Fruits of the Spirit I see that all the of the Fruits of the Spirit better us at serving one another, I would say this would take place second after the Fruits allow us to better Love God. It brings to mind the word’s of Jesus Christ in Matthew 22:37 when He is speaking about the two greatest commandments.

37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’

The Fruits of the Spirit are such a wondrously precious gift from God unto us, through those Gifts we gain such an understanding and deepening of our relationship with God. There are 9 Fruits of the Spirit, These are found in Galatians 5:22 -

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law

I find myself as I walk around in life, seeking God in both the small and big situations, trying to be Faithfully seek Him in all ( although I fall short at this ), that through doing so, God really does reveal more of His heart towards the big and small situations. Especially when it comes to personal relationships. God is a passionately loving God.

Jesus Christ only used the word desire twice when speaking of Himself both times He was talking about Desiring relationship with the disciples in Luke 22:15

15 Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;

And the other is in John 17:24

24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Both intensely sweeping scriptures, if you have a moment have a read in context, beautifully revealing chapters as to the Heart of Our Lord.
God is passionate about having a relationship with each and every one of us. God is our Counsel, Great in His way, on Him we can be rest assured that we place our faith in a Good God.
As we walk through life, and as we grow in our relationship seeking God, submitting both the big and small to God, God leads us and teaches us. As a Father would teach His Son, so does Our Heavenly Father teach us ( His children ), whom He has begotten through Jesus Christ. That we through Him may learn the ways of His kingdom and grow closer to His Heart.

Over the past few weeks, I have encountered allot of trying situations, all of which have not been directly in my life but rather in the life of others around me. We as a Church and Body of Christ are to serve one another and serve the world. Saved to Serve.
Over the past few weeks, I have encountered great grievance’s for which I am grateful , but grievance’s none-the-less. At this God has been showing me how He weeps over so many, both believers and non-believers.

God is an all-knowing God, but God is not distant from us. He is graciously and long-sufferingly with us, and the hardships we face, He is also there with us. We so often go through hard times and don’t turn to Him. This is such a great pain, I have experienced this in the smallest degree, but for God who is intimately linked with each and every one of us, As Jesus Christ said. He wants to relieve us of our burdens.

It is similar to this, A Father witnessing his child go into the dark alleys everyday and shoot up heroin and all kinds of dangerous drugs and behaviour, progressively getting worse. Seeking escape but finding none, progressing worse and worse, moving further and further away from the Father out of fear of judgement. The Fathers intentions are not to judge the heart of the child but to have mercy upon her and take her burdens upon himself, so that she may move past the addictions and hardships of life.

If she would turn to God and place trust in him, He would surely and faithfully do all he could to help her walk the path that is right for her.

So much more is Our Heavenly Father for us, He has served us in the greatest of ways by Sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ into the world, so that we may give up our illness’s and our sinful ways, turn to God that He might have mercy upon us and relieve us of our burdens and move us onto the right path. Salvation is something only God is able to do and He made a way for us in Jesus Christ.

The fruits of the spirit for us believers, is an enabler. It is God’s empowerment in us changing our nature into a nature similar to Jesus Christ, the Bible actually says “likeness” ( Romans 8:29 ). This likeness is key to us learning how the Fruits of the Spirit is related to our servant hood.

The greatest servant of all, is Our Lord Jesus Christ, He served the entire world through His Love for us. If we look at how He served His disciples we can witness and see how each and all of these fruits were present in His life.

Firstly,

Servant Heart of Love –

1 John 4:9-10
9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Every action Jesus did, could readily be understood as an action of love, from the small to the big. Even when He was charging people outside of the temple for selling goods, it was out of the Love of God’s House also for the correction of the people who were selling so that they could repent and move forward. The Love of Jesus Christ we witness is so frequently if not always in a servant context, Ultimately Serving God.

Servant Heart of Joy -

This one fascinated me, because I knew Jesus had Joy in Him, but I couldn’t put into words or fully in knowledge of what made Jesus Joyful. I was astounded at what I found.

Luke 10:21 –
21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.

To set the context, this is just after the 70 disciples returned and they were rejoicing because when Jesus Christ sent them out, He sent them out in His Power and they were overjoyed because of the wonderful works that were done through them, so they came back super joyed at the work of God through them. Jesus Christ corrects them and says rejoice in the fact your names are written in the Book of Life.

I find this amazing, I do wonderful whether Jesus Christ was rejoicing because of the works done through them or because they had returned faithfully or because they had served God.

In either case Jesus Christ is rejoicing in seeing the Kingdom of God manifest, I think there is allot to learn from this, and I’ve been taught a great deal through this also.

When God moves whether it seems small or big, we should be rejoicing with Him, with Jesus Christ. It’s amazing scripture, also paints a picture of us, and the importance of that relationship with God, we go out into the world for Him but we return to Him rejoicing.

This concludes the first part, I pray it Blesses you,
May God Truly Bless You, Chris
