Faithfulness

Hey, Sorry for a lack of posts lately, God’s been guiding me amazingly, For which I am so very grateful. Over the last month God has revealed to things to me, that by His Grace I will be unpacking for the rest of my life. We Serve a Truly Wonderful God.

One of the things that God has really been showing me by His Word and Influence is His Faithfulness. Galatians 5:22-23 talks about the 9 Fruits of The Spirit. One of which is Faithfulness.

What is Faithfulness ?

If we look to the dictionary we find answers along the lines of -

A quality of being faithful ( in reference to a person’s Character )

We usually go to things like loyality and Monogamy ( having one partner ) when we think about Faithfulness. It is a big statement to say someone is Faithful, It is truly a Wonderful Aspect of a Person’s Character should they Truly Bear Faithfulness. True Faithfulness Stems from God, By our own efforts we can never achieved Faithfulness. This is what Paul unpacks when he speaks of the Fruits of The Spirit. God working in us and brewing His Nature in Us. What a Great Privilege and Honour.

I looked up Faithfulness in Strongs and Found such a wonderful Truth of the nature of Faithfulness, Transcending that which we usually associate with Faithfulness.

When we look up the word Faithfulness in Strongs ( Pistis ) we find it talks about Moral Conviction, A statement that is made in relation to Faithfulness is this.

“The Truthfulness of God” in line with this statement where others to do with having a reliance upon Christ for Salvation and having a consistency towards that. Being assured in the Truth of the Gospel and the Hope it Brings.

We can unpack the Truthfulness of God to such a great extent and still not of scratched the surface. Truthfully, God is Eternal Truth. Truth does not bend with time, nor change in circumstance, What is True now will forever be True. God’s Faithfulness ties into His Truthfulness.

To be Faithful we must tell the Truth. It’s often said we must be Lovers of the Truth. I’ve always seen this as saying “We Must Be Lovers of God”. For in that Relationship and Through Loving God, We are enable to be Truthful according to His Truth.

John 8:31-32 –

31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

The Stem of Everything in our lives is God. Blessed are we by His Grace that He is So Faithful to us.

We are taught by His Word ( Throughout the Old Testament and the New testament ) how Faithful God is to His People. Though we have turned away from Him many times, He is so Faithful and So Willing to open opportunities to us to be reconciled to Him. So much so that Jesus Christ was sent on Our Behalf.

So how can we be Faithful ?

I think as Jesus Christ said in John 8:31-32, Through following His Teachings, Which ultimately were to following God’s Will, He led the perfect and absolute example of this. We are led into His Family as Promised by Jesus Christ in Matthew 12:46-50. We can take this as a Promise because Jesus Christ being God, Being Absolute Truth. He does not need to say “I Promise” to make a statement secure. His Very Word is Highest Level of Promise we will ever Experience. He being Truth, Lived in Truth.

The world we live in undoubtedly is full of false teachings, Both the secular world and the Christian world. We must be Faithful to God above all else, How do we achieve this in a world full of mixed message. One of the Greatest Gifts we have is The Word of God. The Absolutely True Word of God Completely Uncompromised. In that we know that there is One Hope in the world we live in. Evident this is in the world we live in, that one solution that can lift anyone out of any circumstance is Jesus Christ. To be Faithful we must know who we are being Faithful to and for what cause.

Is Jesus Christ Your Saviour ?

Do You Accept That Jesus Christ Paid For Your Sins ?

Do You Accept The Word of God that is The Bible As Absolute Truth ?

Do You Accept God’s Nature as Absolute Good ?

We serve a God who is so Loving He sent His Son on Our Behalf by His Mercy, that We may have Salvation, By His Absolute Glory He is Ultimate Truth and Absolutely Good. There is no other way but by Jesus Christ. By this we Know not only that We Have True Hope but that We can Faithfulness and Truthfully Offer this Hope to Others.

It is important we understand who we are being faithful to, Because it’s by this understand we walk in God’s Will for us in Sharing that Hope that is found in His Son Jesus Christ.

The world is the way the world is because of The Fall, We have a generation that is the continuation of previous generations that is in Need of Saving. There are many people looking for Hope in all sorts of false solutions. There is only one option that is Eternally Faithful. The concept of Faithfulness is such a Beautiful aspect of God’s nature, It allows us to Rejoice and Truthfully spread God’s message without a Question in our mind, that if that Person Earnestly sincerely decided to seek God, God would respond to them by His Faithfulness.

Faithfulness enables us through our desires to live according to God’s Will and God’s will impacting our lives through The Holy Spirit. That we may move away from our Selfish desires and Align the desires of our heart with That of Which God desires us to have.

Modern teachings, don’t lead to the practise of Faithfulness, This is why it is important to know what you are Faithful to. Faithfulness in the world has it’s result in darkness and eventually Death, But Faithfulness in God has it’s result in the Light of His Son and onto Eternal Life. Since in faithfulness we need Strength to be able to carry our actions beyond ourselves it is important that we acknowledge our need of God. In all circumstances we are in need of God.

He is Faithful

Not only does this benefit other but also for Ourselves. God has made many promises through the Bible I would like to share some.

Luke 21:17-18 - "All men will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish."

James 4:8 - "Come near to God and he will come near to you."

Psalm 32:8 - "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you."

John 8:12 - "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

James 1:5 - "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Romans 10:9 - "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

God’s promises have came through Prophets, The Apostles and through Himself by Jesus Christ.

God is Faithful to You, Do not Discount His Faithfulness For Your Life. He is Faithful to You in your moments of Fear (Jeremiah 1:8 ) Having all our plans ordained according to God’s Will, having His Goodness Instruct our lives, Romans 8:28.

We serve a God who is Faithful to All that we Are, All our concerns –

1 Peter 5:7

Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.

Deut 31:6 –

6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Hebrews13:5 –

5Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."

I’ll share one last scripture that is Jude 1:24-25

24To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

All Praise Be To God, Blessed Are We By His Son.

God Bless You.

Chris.
